Speaking Engagements

Getting to Know Music Therapy

Our team is passionate about educating our community about the benefits of music therapy. We would be happy to offer an in-service or workshop. Please be sure to contact us to discuss the specific interests of your organization or group.

This presentation gives participants a general overview about what music therapy is, whom it is used with, who is a music therapist, and the services available in our community.

Music Therapy with a Focus Diagnosis

Music therapy is used with a wide variety of conditions and diagnoses. We enjoy meeting with groups to discuss how our services can be used with the clients your organization supports. Some focused presentations we have done in the past include:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias
  • Autism
  • Down Syndrome
  • Pediatrics
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Palliative Care
  • Stroke Recovery

Using Music for Self-Care

This presentation is a valuable learning experience for caregivers, parents, and anyone interested in learning how they can use music to support their wellbeing at home. This is not a presentation that teaches individuals how to do music therapy. Participants will be empowered with helpful tools they can use in their daily lives.

Experiential Workshop

So often the caregivers of our clients comment that they miss out on all the fun. This workshop is an opportunity to have fun exploring music therapy up close and personal. The workshop can focus around the use of familiar songs, percussive instruments, moving to music, and songwriting activities.
